Kirtan is a very simple, powerful, effortless, joyful way to meditate. The music does the work for you as you flow with the melody & rhythm. It’s kind of a spiritual sing along. The performers and the concert-goers create the experience together. Singing is the heart of Kirtan but no one cares what you sound like. When you sing at a Kirtan concert, you can experience your own voice becoming as beautiful as those performing—all voices merge together to become One Voice.

Regularly Scheduled Classes

 


Foundational Yoga/Multi Level Flow: 
A multi-level practice that emphasizes and builds simple yoga poses and breathing techniques.  Improves physical strength, balance and flexibility.  Improves mental clarity and awareness. Suitable for all levels.


Hatha Yoga:
 A traditional, slower paced Yoga practice that emphasizes alignment.  Develops strength, flexibility and balance.  Improves mental clarity and awareness.  Increases overall sense of well-being. Suitable for all levels

Intermediate Flow: 
A faster paced, power practice for the more advanced student. The focus is on linking each breath with movement.  Develops strength, balance and flexibility. Improves mental awareness and clarity.  Suitable for the more experienced student.
 

Kirtan:

Restorative Yoga: 
 A gentle practice designed to stimulate the immune system, restore balance, and relieve stress. This class is ideal for those with limited flexibility or strength. Suitable for all levels.


 Vinyasa

Vinyasa yoga is a series of flowing poses structured around the breath.  Each inhale and exhale is cued to help you find a rhythm and create a smooth and centered practice. 


Wellness Yoga and Meditation:  
A slow rhythmic vinyasa class. Linking breath with movement. Improves strength and flexibility. Increases vigor and stamina. A gateway to better health. Suitable for all levels.

 

Yin Yoga:  
In our speed-driven world, we tend to lean toward a fast-paced yoga class too, such as a Vinyasa Flow, which would be characterized as very yang.  Yin Yoga offers you an opportunity to slow down and bring your body and spirit back into balance.  A yin class consists of mostly seated, supine and prone positions.  You will hold each pose, with your muscles relaxed, often for 1 to 3 minutes, maybe longer.  These asanas  focus mainly on hips and lower back.  Suitable for all levels.
 

Yoga for Military Veterans:  
This is a free class offered weekly.  A slow paced, gentle,  practice, designed to relieve physical tension, tightness or stiffness, and mental stress.  A basic Hatha class.  Suitable for all levels.
